New Year’s Resolution vs . New Year’s Rediscovery
For some, the past year may have been one of personal triumph, or a roller coaster of events and emotions – maybe even both. Setting rigid New Year’s Resolutions can be very limiting. One of the best ways to help is to set smart achievable and attainable check-ins (goals). Rediscovering your “Why”, sets you up to be motivated in achieving your goals. As long as you continue to live your fullest and heathiest life, you shouldn’t worry about whether you follow your goal as all or nothing approach. I like to think of revitalizing , recharging, resetting, rejuvenating my upcoming year into four major cornerstones: Keep it simple! Don’t overwhelm yourself with overthinking one day at a time.
Beyond blessed to share this very special day as Our Lady of Mercy’s Wellness Advisor. OLMA is truly a treasure a beautiful gem .
A 192 years ago on December 12th 1831, Sisters of Mercy and Mercy women and men around the world celebrate the Foundation Day of The Order of the Sisters of Mercy.
Catherine McAuley, Mary Ann Doyle and Elizabeth Harley grew their sacred mission from the small beginnings they made in returning to The House of Mercy in Baggot Street, Dublin Ireland, after taking their vows as the first Sisters of Mercy!
On this day the Sisters of Mercy students and staff
prepared “Birthday Boxes” through Birthday Wishes benefiting Homeless children.
The freshman and sophomore students wrote Christmas Cards for our active military overseas and for the Sisters of Mercy who will not be home for the holidays.
Teas and scones was shared with faculty because Catherine McAuley always believed in offering someone a comfortable cup of tea.

An unforgettable night at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts with John Legend, where the music icon not only delivered a phenomenal show but also shared powerful stories of resilience, triumph, and the universal language of music. His journey from overcoming challenges to becoming a Grammy Award winner was an inspiring testament to the transformative power of storytelling and the profound impact it has on connecting humanity through shared experiences. John Legend, not just a musical legend, but a storyteller weaving the threads of emotion and inspiration, leaving us all connected as fellow human beings.

Cowgirls come to life with CIBS W women on horseback! 🐎 What an incredible experiential networking event connecting with nature for CIBS W’s third horseback riding event at the Park View Riding Center. We had a wonderful day of trail blazing, hot apple cider, barbecuing, line dancing, and jumping in the leaves. Loved sharing all of our stories, and bringing out our inner child.
Horseback riding is the natural way for women to connect, feeling a sense of wellbeing, enhancing our moods, and finding joy and happiness in nature. Being around horses is respite, horses don’t judge, they give women the permission to feel free. Even though horses are strong and powerful, women feel safe, not only physically but also emotionally. Horses run in herds, and when women gather and support each other, special sisterhood bonds are made.
Thank you to the wonderful women of CIBS W and the incredible sponsors of this event:

In these challenging times, it has become more crucial than ever to acknowledge and understand the various stressors that impact our lives as human beings. Given the current heaviness of the world, how can we lean into taking care of ourselves again?
I recently came back from a three week excursion to Lisbon, Spain, and Morocco, and my biggest takeaways were appreciating the Blue Zone mentality of the eight realms of wellness.
The Blue Zone lifestyle mirrors the habits of the world’s healthiest and longest-lived individuals. One of those places being dear to my heart, Ikaria, Greece. These extraordinary people emphasize the significance of connection, belonging, purpose, meaning, movement, downshifting, rest, and nourishing their bodies with unmodified foods.
We must take the time to focus on caring for ourselves by creating internal tenderness and compassion. By being mindful of our health and its profound influence on our overall well-being and longevity, we pave the way for a better quality of life. This journey involves establishing self-sustainability, embracing self-acceptance, nurturing self-love, and actively engaging in practices that promote our overall health and wellness, all rooted in gratitude.
