A Healthy Indulgence?

Feel and look your best at any age, boost longevity, and brain power, reduce stress, and smooth skin.

The health benefits of drinking wine have been known since Caesar’s age. Do you know why drinking wine is beneficial? Do flavonoids (polyphenols) in red wine help you live longer?

We all dream of an elixir for a long, healthy life—and if that elixir is red wine, all the better.

Exciting News
Johns Hopkins University studies have shown that drinking red wine in moderation can offset various health problems. Red wine activates the longevity-related protein sirtuin1 (SIRT1), improves insulin sensitivity, and enhances mitochondrial function, which tends to decline with age and disease. It also helps reduce arterial clogging, lowers cholesterol levels, and decreases blood pressure.

Resveratrol, found in grapes and other plant foods like apples, blueberries, plums, and peanuts, can contribute to a longer lifespan according to the National Institute on Aging. It also promotes younger-looking skin by boosting elastin and collagen.

Grape skin contains over 400 health-promoting substances like tannins, quercetin, OPCs, catechins, resveratrol, flavonoids, polyphenols, antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins. These compounds are anti-inflammatory and neutralize free radicals, working together to raise HDL (“good”) cholesterol and lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol.

Dark Chocolate and Red Wine: Anti-Aging Wonders

  • Beating Wrinkles and The Sunscreen Effect: Cocoa contains flavonoids, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties. Organic dark chocolate (80% cacao, free of milk, soy, and low in sugar) protects against UV damage, preventing wrinkles, sunspots, and skin cancer.
  • Epicatechin and resveratrol in cocoa beans benefit the heart, blood vessels, brain, and nervous system, helping slow the aging process.
  • Dark chocolate also reduces stress and boosts mood-enhancing neurotransmitters, further supporting anti-aging.
  • Notably, dark chocolate has more antioxidants than green tea.
